Greetings to you all,
I set up this site in order that our Call to be Catholic audience can provide their thoughts and feedback to the steering committee. To the left, you will see a pair of polls that I set up. You can vote more than once! I merely set forth a few ideas for your consideration.
I would really like to hear from you! use the comments section of this post to expand on your answers to the polls, or for any other feedback you would like to give in regards to the program.
This will help us as organizers to meet your expectations, as well as give us some data to help other groups and parishes who are developing similar events.
Thanks and God Bless.

Bloggs can be a great way to stay connected as a group. One idea would be for someone to volunteer at each event to capture some notes or key messages from each Call to be Catholic session and post to this site. Alot of times we miss the events because of conficts even though we are quite interested.
This series is excellent! Father Hogan was amazing. This series is a treasure for our Catholic Community, but somehow we need more support to get the word out to parishioners to come. Perhaps the clergy could actively help by mentioning the series and recommending it rather than just having it on the announcements. Also, perhaps Sunday afternoons would be a better time. Parents with school age children are at a disadvantage for coming on Monday evenings; too hard to get babysitters on a school night, too many weekday school activites, hard to get the whole family out and back home for homework and bed even when babsitting is provided at the Church. These are issues to be worked out because these excellent talks are underattended.
Thanks, Mary
I think the series is an excellent way to enhance the Catholic teachings. Sunday afternoons seem to be an easier time to sneak away and enjoy the speaker. Topics have been great, though this last speaker on Monday was a great speaker, but he never did talk about marriage. I was looking forward to a talk on marriage and he never seemed to quite get there. So we were very disappointed.
These speakers are a great asset to our catholic community!
The last speaker, Fr. Hogan was very interesting, but his topic was too much to cover in an evening. I would listen to him again. Last year Rev. Michael Joncas had to cancel because of weather. He would be interesting if we could get him back.
I only made it to Fr. Keating's lecture this year, but it was outstanding. Other lectures I've attended in the past have been excellent as well.
For future topics, I wanted to vote for Scripture, Apologetics, and History, but your buttons only allow for one vote. Also, I had no idea what apologetics was until I looked it up. I'm guessing that will be true for others as well.
